The Campaign For Falconry

The Campaign for Falconry started life in 1997 as an initiative between The Hawk Board and the Countryside Alliance. Its whole reason is to raise funds and awareness to defend falconry and the keeping of all birds of prey.

 

This is achieved mainly through sponsoring The Hawk Board which the CFF is a part of.

The CFF Terms of Reference are:

  • The CFF will abide by the Hawk Board Constitution
  • The CFF will be totally transparent in all it`s fund raising efforts
  • The CFF will be the communicating body for the Hawk Board, outside of the media and official government bodies
  • The CFF will retain and manage its own bank account. The accounts will be done by the CFF treasurer and forwarded to the Hawk Board Treasurer when completed. Quarterly reports will be offered by the CFF. The CFF will have discretion for its own running costs, but will liaise with the Hawk Board on major expenditures
  • The CFF will appoint its own Chair, Secretary and Treasurer from within its own members

The make up of the CFF will be as follows.

Six members will be existing members of the Hawk Board, they will include the current HB Chair, Co-ordinator and Treasurer. Six members will come from wherever the CFF feels they can find useful people.

Other experts can be co-opted as and when needed.

Non Hawk Board members of the CFF may be asked either not to attend specific HB meetings, or to leave for sensitive topics. Otherwise, CFF members will be welcome to attend HB meetings.

The CFF will encourage, co-ordinate and assist falconry representatives on all the CA regional committees.
